True Love a Top Priority for Singles

Recent Surveys Explore Relationships, Modern Dating Challenges, and the Quest for True Love

Despite the difficulties facing today's singles as they search for the "right" person, most remain hopeful that they will find true love and have made that goal a top priority, according to recent polls conducted by eHarmony, the Internet's fastest growing relationship service. Today's dating challenges are no picnic say 86% of respondents, indicating that it is difficult to find the time and energy to get to know someone well in the search for a long-lasting, fulfilling relationship.
Recent eHarmony user polls of singles, aged 25-54, show that:

Love is a priority for busy singles. Among survey participants, 77% say that finding a loving, happy relationship is their number one priority.

But finding love certainly isn't easy. Nearly 56% report that finding a suitable partner has become an increasingly difficult challenge.

Romance has no billable hours. Of those surveyed, 86% indicate that it is hard to find the time and energy needed to put into the search for a long-term relationship.

Identifying shared interests early on helps create the foundation of a truly healthy relationship.

A full 91% of respondents believe that getting to know their date is one of the biggest challenges in the dating world.

"There are nearly 100 million singles in the US, and most of them are looking for love," said relationship expert and eHarmony founder, Dr. Neil Clark Warren. "We created eHarmony so singles could narrow their pool of potential mates, making it easier for them to meet people with whom they are compatible."
